how to get rid of high tax and duty charges while importing mobile phones internationally? any suggestion?
With respect to other posters I would suggest you do this properly. Border Force are always looking out for phone imports and if you mis-declare you are asking for a fine and possibly loss of goods.
I would be careful with Ebay as this is a platform receiving a lot of interest from HMRC and again you risk a fine (if the seller doesn't rip you off first).

Mobile phones are usually free of Customs duties, therefore a preference certificate is not needed, unless liable to some other measure (e.g. Anti-Dumping duty). Additionally, as a rule of thumb, you can only raise a GSP (or any other preference certificate) if the goods are wholly or significantly manufactured in the country raising the certificate (There are strict rules on this guided by the commodity code of the goods being moved).

Good point, however my response also builds on the previous reply that was made yesterday. Anybody researching this topic, as a first time importer, may misunderstand and automatically ask their supplier for something that may not be required
