Import sales from various channels into bookkeeping software

Is there a solution to sync sales from all channels (e.g. Amazon, Amazon Web Store, ebay, onlineshop/ shopping carts) into my accounting software?

I know there is Tradebox, but this seems to work exclusively with Sage?

Then there is kashflow.co.uk (Saas accounting software), but they only can sync with PayPal and a number of shopping carts, but not with Amazon.

I haven't yet committed to a specific accounting software, but I will only consider Saas solutions with a similar pricing structure than kashflow.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Is there a particular reason not to go with Sage? That seems to be the most flexible/popular option, and as you've mentioned the likes of Tradebox can do exactly what you need out of the box.

The reason for me not to go with Sage is that - as far as I'm aware - they don't offer their package on a Saas basis. I would have to install it locally.

I'm much more comfortable with having it all in the cloud. I'm also not too much of a Windows fan. I rather prefer Mac and Linux. With cloud based solutions I'm not dependent on any platforms.

What about Quickbooks? We've integrated with that in the past for multi-channel, but only for clients on our platform (basically our websites pull the orders in from eBay, Amazon etc then feed them to Quickbooks - eliminating the need for something like Tradebox). I'm guessing other multi-channel platforms will also be able to do the same.

Quickbooks could be an option. Need to dig more into the features they offer.

But is there an off the shelf solution to import from various channels? It would be great if you can go more into details regarding the integration you mentioned in your previous post.

I'm not aware of one, but potentially you might be better of finding out which accountancy software you want and then work back from there. So for example if that was Quickbooks, start looking at which carts can integrate with it - or if someone can write a bespoke module for your current platform. Quickbooks have an API so you could probably get your current web company to look into developing an integrated module for you. Obviously this is only worthwhile if your current platform is multi-channel and has 2 way sync with the channels you are selling on.

Our platform is multi-channel and has 2-way integration with the likes of eBay, Amazon and so on. So basically a retail can log in to the back of a visualsoft site and process all of their orders from all channels in their website admin. You then just integrate the whole admins orders with Quickbooks (or whoever you use for accounting) so that the accounting software doesn't need to link to anything other than the website (because the websites orders also include those from the other channels). Think of your web admin as your hub feeding/being fed from eBay, Amazon, Facebook, Mobile, Website 1, Website 2 and so on (we've got clients running all of their channels and multiple websites from a single admin).

We have an eBay store, own website using Prestashop and an Amazon store and use Kashflow for our bookkeeping software. As you say, Paypal is automatically imported and although you have to manually import orders from the website and Amazon, this is relatively straight forward - I just save them as a csv file and use the import facility in Kashflow.

You can use the free and open source magento ( www.magentocommerce.com ) as your ecommerce and integration solution. There are several free and paid for plugins for it to integrate with eBay, amazon, and loads of different saas based accounting systems. My favourite being xero.com it will also integrate with Facebook, twitter and loads and loads of different and varied services and saas offerings in many different verticals like crm, erp, stock, pos etc.. etc... .

Just use magento as the central hub to bind everything.

Interprise Suite has eShopConnect which lets you link with Magento, Amazon, eBay etc., in fact any site with XML plus has it's own fully integrated eCommerce, proper stock control, accounting, CRM even EPoS. It's only £600 per user but can be hosted as SaaS.
