Import and export to Pakistan?

Hi All
I am delighted to find such a wonderful forum where I will get a great help from other members.I would like to start to import leather product from Pakistan to UK, but I do not know any thing about the procedure from where to start?

Can you please advise me what I have to do to take this step. I have some contacts in Pakistan and still wonder what need to be done before even start.

Guys just to remind you again, I do not have any experiance to set up such business. Any help will be appriciated.

You would require all legal procedures to be taken care of unless you want to face an awkward situation. One thing, would you be Importing it under your name or will you be contacting a freight agency to handle all such matters? If you plan to do it yourself then you would require an import license in UK.

If you are involving other parties then you would have to do all the traveling and auditing yourself coming all the way to Pakistan and selecting it then booking the lot to UK. In UK you would require an import license as well.
