If you could go back in time to a particular year, which year and why?

Her parents had gone away for the weekend.



Failing that - Summer of 1996
Freiburg, south of Germany.
On a bus full of hippies riding the tides of life without a care in the world.

But ... on the positive side ....




He lived life to the full ... he thought he was invincible ... he travelled the world and he died whilst on holiday ....


He'll never grow old or suffer any degenerative disease ... he'll always be 35 x

None - I have a lifetime full of the most wonderful brillant unique memories, and Id never want to go back to any of them - why - because it would never be the same the second time around - I relish and cherish every memory, and look forward to every new day for adventures new.

If, on the other hand, I could delete a decade, it would have to be the '70's - looking at old photos from that period, Ive seen better dressed wounds

Some of the people I could have helped and did not, I would have done.

Some of the people I have wronged and did not care, I would not have done.

I would have told relevant people that I loved them more.

Aside that, this is a question I never think of. I cannot change the things that I have done. Time moves on and waits not.

I would liked to have coped with some of the terrible heartbreak of my life a lot better than I did.

I used to call my grandma twice a week,she fell asleep in a chair near coal stove and never woke up again.2 hours later I called her when I was off duty from my office.

I wish I did d*ck around at school! In our school, kids who actually worked got no acknowledgement whatsoever, those who messed around went on trips, gifts, vouchers, damn, some even got a bike or playstation just for turning up at school! All in the name of 'engaging' them lol.

I agree with Newcott. I'd have thought properly about what I wanted in life and love earlier than I did, and gone for it!

 

1957 you could walk around London at night without fear of crime,and if anything went wrong you could ask anyone for help and they would.

People spoke to you still.

Greed was not the prime motivation.

No one knew what paranoia meant.

Children had legs that moved.

No one painted there house every 10 minutes in case its value dropped.

Common sense prevailed,not PC.

Lawyers were still part of the human race.

And most important I could drive me Tiger Twin flat out without getting nicked.

I would never change anything in my life as I believe things happen in peoples lives for a reason, change one aspect and you start off a whole new chain reaction that never happened before, therefore changing your future, maybe not completely but some people you may never meet, loved ones you are with now might not be there in the new timeline you created, stuff like that. There was none of that when I was at school and I supose my dicking around statement is not quite right. I should have said I wish I had realised then the value of a good education.

Nope.

When you find your priceless pearl, you never want to give it away just to see if there's another one out there as good.

We both had a life before we met, both dated others, both travelled and lived in other countries, I think we were very lucky when we met in that we both felt we had done all the things we wanted to do before settling down, so neither of us every had those ''what if'' or ''I wish'' moments.

Naw, if I could live it all again, I'd never want to change the moment in time I met my soulmate

I personally would go back every single month for 2 days and erase everything I wrote on Internet and undo all conversations had and items purchased..because 2 days each month I lose the plot entirely! Womens thing (pmt) but still...a cause for regret every single month and dreams of time travel every month!!!

But I was thinking more along the lines of a city break type of thing. Leave the mobile at home and book youself into a hotel for the two days and go and explore somewhere you have never visited before.

A guy ,yes, and I have had very real experience which is why I say take yourself away for a couple of days, and thats all women who suffer - or should that be men - from the ravages of pmt.

I would like to go back to a week before 28 June 1914 and try to prevent the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in the hope that that would prevent WWI (and of course WWII).

When you think of those who died in WWI think also of the children and grandchildren they never had and how different things might have been.

Well few problems with that

1) children
2) hubby
3)cost
4) members of the public

I don't stop being a giant pain to myself and others just because I go 'out'

A cellar is a better option
