Ideas for small manufacturing

Hello

Myself and a partner have aquired some very small premises which we are interested in utilising for a small manufacturing-type business. Can anybody suggest a product type which would be cheap and simple to produce and for which there is a ready market. We have additional capital for small sized machinery and initial raw materials. Thank you.

come at it from a different angle - could you provide outsourced manf to other businesses.

eg assembly, branding, embroidery, paper cutting, why not advertise in the local press. I know a number of businesses that use such services. just be versatile.

You seem to be approaching this back to front. The premises are one of the less important things and you can't build a manufacturing business around this alone. What skills do you have between you? Do you have any contacts? etc. So many things need to be considered before getting started.

The preises were a legacy from a recently deceased relative and we would like to put it to good use on a long-term commercial basis and run a small business from there. We have both many years of experience in trades and sales and we just wanted to brainstorm some initial ideas with like-minded people. We are more than aware that focusing on a particular product would involve much greater research, development and marketing and we are keen to devote as much time and effort as it takes.
