ICRTouch and card processing

Hi,
We're currently using ICRTouch on our tills but with separate card machine. We want to be able to link the tills directly to card machines to save transaction time and reduce errors.

I'm led to understand that Paymentsense are the people to talk to about this but they're insisting on a five year contract with hefty cancellation charges.

I'm wondering if there are any other solutions which I can investigate?

Hi,

So currently ICR Touch has a number of payment integrations that you can try.

VeriFone Payware Ocius using the VeriFone VX820 Pin Pad was one of them however I believe at this time ICR are not supporting Ocius it so I would not advise that direction.

The second as you suggested is Payment Sense most likely with an Ingenico or Spire Card terminal, You should negotiate hard for a better deal with them because 5 years is just them taking you for a ride to be frank, acquirers will often do contract lengths as short as 18 months so don't back down and never pay more that £30/ month terminal rental.

Finally you could try Sage pay who are also integrated with ICR. Again you could use a VeriFone VX820 Pin pad with Sage pay.
