Massive shock this, I can't say I knew Ian incredibly well but I did deal with him on a number of occasions through the forums. Such a shame to see a young, promising life taken away.

Such shocking, awful news Like you, Phil, I didn't know Ian personally but we chatted many times on forums and on Twitter, and he was such a lovely guy. So supportive of small businesses like mine, did so much for the business community. What a terrible, terrible loss.

Must admit it came as a big shock to me too. Just over a week ago I received an e-mail saying that Ian was ill and yesterday to say that he had passed away.

I’m deeply shocked, it must be a hugely difficult time for Ian’s family and friends. My sincerest, heartfelt condolences to them.

It makes our day-to-day concerns seem so trivial. Working with Ian has always been a real pleasure - a bright star in our skies has been dimmed, but never forgotten.
