The problem with the meat is that it comes from animals with a higher temperature, about 2c. Because of this all of it can not be digested. Undeigested meat goes to the colon, where it decomposes and creates a lot of free radicals. This puts a heavy burden on the immune system. Even the digested part can not be put to use, metabolise, easily. This is not so with fish. Because it has a lower temperature than us. It easily digested, absorbed and metabolised.

If you chew your legumes very well all of it, except proteins, get digested in your mouth.
Everything in this post is (unsurprisingly) absolutely, mind-numbingly wrong.

Meat is fine, we evolved eating it, we are very good at digesting it and get essential fatty acids from it that we cannot extract directly from plant sources (LC ω-3). Enzymes in our saliva begin breaking down meat the moment we pop it in our mouths and our stomach acids are even better at breaking it down.

Vegetables and whatnot are mostly broken down within the gut and require bacteriological action before extracting their nutrition (i.e. they have to rot).

Whatever that nonsense is about body temperature of animals, I don't know, but it has no bearing on the science of digestion at all. It does fit your usual hokum pseudo-science posts though ;p

About seven years ago, my doctor advised me to drink a lot of water and avoid anything with a lot of potassium like tomatoes. He advised me to do that because he diagnosed me with third stage chronic kidney disease. I followed his advice. I also changed my diet to a diet of fruits, vegetables, and wholegrains, also on his, my Dr, advice. This is because he also diagnosed me with hypertension, high blood pressure.

After five years, my Dr told me that my kidney then was better than eight years ago. My blood pressure recovered a lot earlier. Since the advice of my Dr, regarding drinking a lot of water, I have been drinking 0.04litre of water per each kilogram of my body weight at about four regular intervals like before breakfast, at 10am, at 4pm and at 9pm. Now I am 65kg in weight. So I drink 0.04x65=2.60litres of water daily. I still drink my water even when I am fasting. But I add a quarter of teaspoon sea salt, a teaspoon of honey and squeeze a piece of lemon to my water each time except before breakfast.

Never wait to become thirsty to drink water. The immune system uses a lot of water. When you become thirsty, means your immune system has gone very weak or has stopped because it can not get one of its raw materials, water. One could get any serious disease at the moment of thirst. I always warm my water. Each degree, C, of water warmth above your body temperature strengthens your immune system by 30%. I always drink my water on empty stomach, at least half hour before or two hours after my meals. Drinking any drink, with meals, is another cause of serious diseases. Because it dilutes digestive enzymes. So most of the food remains undigested. It goes into the colon to decompose to cause colon disease and send a massive amount of free radicals into blood stream to add a heavy burden on immune system. All types of cancer are associated with diseased colon. All cancer sufferers without exception also suffer from colon disease.

Literally everything you ever say about medicine or biology is 100% wrong. Everything. There is no science in anything you post. I would apologize for seeming confrontational but your advice is misleading and potentially harmful.

Imagine a doctor recommending that a sufferer of hypertension should drink saline solution (salt water, something that raises blood pressure). It's absurd and you're either lying about it all or going to very bad doctors for advice.

edit: Credit where credit is due, you did say *ONE* sensible thing in there - 'Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink water'. That's about it, though.

I'm not sure i'd agree anything about meat being essential? What is it we actually need that we can't get from fruit, veg and nuts?

I'd say over consumption is the main issue with meat, the cultures that include it as a very small part of their diet instead of a centre piece are way healthier.

I'm going to be restarting this diet i did in January, no dairy, soy, legumes, grains, or added sugars.

At the end of it i'm going to get a blood test and see whether i am missing anything.

I'll be eating meat. Maybe after this one i'll try and do a month of no meat lol

This all interests me. The main issue is, there's so much bias and vested interests in keeping people in the dark. Even scientists get paid by corporations to to produce work full of lies.

Have you seen the show fat, sick and nearly dead? The main guy featured drank only vegetables for 60 days. He was the healthiest he'd ever been.

I also ate largely fruit and veg and had the same feeling after just 30 days of eating no grain or dairy which is apparently, according to a lot of people, what we "need" ?

To be honest, I think people get too hung up about eating being veggie, vegan, or cutting out various things from their diet. Eat simple, the less processed the better. Too many people who eat meat take it for granted, I personally don't believe anyone who can't kill and prepare an animal should eat meat of any kind.

Imagine a doctor recommending that a sufferer of hypertension should drink saline solution (salt water, something that raises blood pressure). It's absurd and you're either lying about it all or going to very bad doctors for advice.

All my claims are based on at least 5 years invetigation and proven on my own body. About seven years ago, I was overweight, had third stage chronic kidney disease, cholesterol, high blood pressure and painful cramps in my legs at nights. Now all these have gone although I am still on the same medication. I have also a lot of stamina. I can work none stop from early morning to late evening without rest or feeling hungry or thirsty. Some times ago, I loaded my van a lone with over 1.50tone scrap metal and unloaded 95% of it alone at the scrap yard.

Pre WW11 Japanese diet, although not as good as mine, proves my claim. Their diet was made up from fruits, vegetables, grains, sea weed and fish. They didn't have any western deadly diseases. They had also a lot of stamina. After being hit with two atomic bombs, they refused to surrender. They tried to recruit Russia on their side but Russia declared war against them instead. After that they surrendered. Bearing in mind that they drunk a lot of alcohol and liquids with their food. After WW11, they westernised their diet because they thought they lost the war because of their diet. But for their disappointment, millions of them got western deadly disease soon after they westernised their diet.

Except protein, if you chew your food very well all components of the food become digested in your mouth. But protein can not be digested in the mouth. Our teeth proves we are not really meat eaters, possibly we were but lost it. Out of 32 teeth, we have, only four of them are meat eating teeth. My doctor never told me to drink salted water. I know which idea of mine led you to this distortion. I said: “I add a bit of salt to my drinking water when I am fasting, not eating any food except drinking water”. You have distorted this statement.

When you are fasting and drinking a lot of water, you urinate a lot and because of that you lose a lot of minerals from your body. This could, but very rare, cause water poisoning. This is a fatal disease but very rare. But if you add salt and some extras like honey and lemon juice you should be ok. That is the reason I add salt to my drinking water when I am fasting from food. In this case it never causes high blood pressure.

By the way has any one seen the film: “To end all wars”. In this film, a Japanese officer tries to force water with water pipe into the mouth of a British Prisoner. He was trying to cause the prisoner water poisioning.

I agree.

The older generation tend to be healthier as far as diet related illnesses go as when we were younger there was hardly any processed food around and many of us stuck to eating "proper food" even after the invention of the microwave

It's not essential (per se), I was referring to essential fatty acids (i.e. what the body cannot manufacture, like vitamin C). Omega 3 (ω-3) is a good example when talking about meat vs. vegetable as meat and fish provide Long Chain variants of this which you cannot procure from vegetable sources (although I think the body can convert the shorter chain variants into the longer ones we use) so although meat isn't *essential* in our diet, it is an optimal route for nutrition. As someone already said, the less processed the better.

I would recommend reading a little more about the science of nutrition before putting faith in any particular fad diets; almost every fad diet that sees improvement does so because the participant suddenly (and uncharacteristically) takes a much greater interest in what they are eating and they are far more aware of the amounts they are eating.

The best advice is at the core of every successful fad diet: Eat less, exercise more. Eat more vegetables. Limit fast and processed food. Drink plenty of water.

Again, you are wrong about almost every single thing you've said. The water poisoning you seem to be referring to is hyponatremia and it's an acute condition (not a disease) usually caused by drinking too much water and diluting the body's electrolyte levels, although it can be fatal. You need more than just salt and a lemon as a treatment for this, so please stop giving bad advice to people.

Depends how much you care. As i said before i don't have a bias towards veganism etc just want the facts. But its clear to see in its current form meat production is incredibly unstable and breaking at the seams. If everyone ate even just a little less meat, it seems to be it would be the answer to a lot of the worlds issues.

Not so much fad diets, i mean let's face it, i already did this once for 30 days and i felt great so it's not some random diet that could be killing me or some dodgy supplements or juice diet crazy stuff. It's pretty much a combination of foods in their purest form minus some food groups that i'm getting close to believing we don't need.

I watched a lot of shows on netflix about food and the food chain etc, the scientists there all seemed pretty conclusive that when terribly sick people took meat away from their diets, the illnesses or certain illnesses decreased or went away. I'd liken meat to milk, yes there is some benefit and nourishment there, but you can get that nourishment other ways, minus the bad things.

I've got a bag of walnuts being delivered by mr tesco in a few hours. Why? Can go in salads and have omega three in them

Pure halucination and fabrication without proven basis. Meat, excluding fish, can not be an optimal route for nutrition. It degrades body stamina, accelerates ageing, degrades immune system and causes all deadly diseases.

Read my writing seriously so that you can comprehend it and don't make mistakes. I didn't say: 'treatment'. I said: 'to prevent it' and that is not my statement, that is the statement of the doctor, who discovered the miracles of the use of water.

  • Vitamin B12: 83% of vegans are deficient in B12, compared to 5% of omnivores. B12 deficiency can have serious consequences (59).
  • Iron: In one study, vegetarians had only a third of the ferritin (a marker for iron levels) of omnivores (60).
  • Vitamin D: Levels of Vitamin D are 74% lower in vegans, compared to omnivores (61).
  • Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Vegans have 53% lower levels of EPA and almost 59% lower levels of DHA, compared to meat eaters (62).
A diet that makes the majority of people who follow it deficient in critical nutrients…

I don’t know about you, but that seems like a pretty bad idea to me.

Full article

https://authoritynutrition.com/top-11-biggest-lies-about-vegan-diets/

If these figures were true all vegans could haved diet by now. In any case the vegans must have an optimal immune system and stamina. This could be the reason for them to overcome these nutritious deficiency. However pre WW11 Japanese diet, which was made up of plants, grains, fish and sea weed, proved to be superior than omnivores diet. Before WW11 deadly diseases like cancer, diabets and the rest were not known. But after WW11 Japanese added meat and dairy products to their diet. After that millions of them got deadly diseases.

The following is a real story:

Around 200 years ago, a German Dr in Japan noticed the strength of Japanese reckshaw men.The strong stamina of the reckshaw men didn't make sense for this doctor because of their low level diet as this Dr thought. So he decided to make an experiment. He fed a reckshaw man for a while a western diet of meat and dairy products. After that he let him to race another recksahw man, who was on his usual japanese diet. Both reckshaws were carrying the same weight and both men supposed to run none stop as long as they could.

The one on Western diet gave up after four days. The other one, after 3 weeks, was still running.

Apologies, the term 'fad diet' can be a bit condescending, but it's simply a reference to diets that have a particular angle or philosophy but doesn't acknowledge that the greatest benefit is from actually eating less and paying attention to your diet - things that people not "dieting" tend not to do.

I watched a lot of shows on netflix about food and the food chain etc, the scientists there all seemed pretty conclusive that when terribly sick people took meat away from their diets, the illnesses or certain illnesses decreased or went away. I tend to steer clear of TV documentaries and they are produced with a specific narrative in mind. Online forums (collective anecdotal), science journals and papers are the better (albeit more boring) way of getting information.

"Removing meat" is a very vague attribute to test for results, and I'd want to see more specifics on what was meant by that before accepting the claim that going vegetarian completely eliminates certain diseases.

Again, the Omega-3 you get from vegetable (and nut) sources are short chain PUFA's, you can only get the long chain PUFA's from animal and fish sources, and long chain is the more optimal form for our metabolisms. Nuts and seeds are absolutely *great* though and should be a regular part of everyone's diet.

You are not qualified to disprove any of my claims. My claims are not mine. They belong to qualified people with tens of years of field experience.
Your claims are completely against the agreed scientific consensus on biology. You are either lying or have been lied to and refuse to consider the alternative.

Pure halucination and fabrication without proven basis. Meat, excluding fish, can not be an optimal route for nutrition. It degrades body stamina, accelerates ageing, degrades immune system and causes all deadly diseases.
Prove it. Show us all some actual science for your ridiculous claims.

I'll remind you, a silly hearsay anecdote about some people from a far away land, or from World War 1 does not constitute evidence for your claim.

Another fabrication from the master fabricator. First it was my doctor advised to take salted water for hypertension. Now it is I, who advices to take salted water with hypertension.
If your 'doctor' recommended this, you should change doctor or at the least investigate their claim that they have any medical training at all.

NHS Link: High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

NHS Link: High Blood Pressure (Prevention)

NHS Link: High Blood Pressure (Treatment)

NHS Link: Salt - How much should you eat?

Now, PLEASE, stop offering up dangerous advice.

Have you ever wondered why you become like a bag full of winds with a smell like a rotten dead animal after each of your meals with meat?

This is because most of the meat is not digested by your digestive system. The undigestive meat ends up in the colon, where decomposes and become rotten. This causes very stinky gases and a massive amount of free radicals, which enter blood stream. This puts a heavy load on the immune system to neutralise these massive amounts of free radicals. in this case the immune system uses a llot of water and enzymes, as raw materials, to neutralise free radicals, which are massive and can overwhilm the immune system. When this happens, the immune system fails and this massive free radicals overwhilm your entire body. At this moment one can get any serious deadly diseases.

I am repeating it again that my doctor didn't say drink salted water when you have hypertension. I said: " When I fast from eating solid foods, I add a bit of salt, a teaspon honey and juice of a piece of lemon, to my water, except the water I drink before my meals. This a sort of protection against water poioning. This pinch of salt, I add to my water once or twice a day each time I fast, doesn't increase my blood pressure at all. Every day I take my blood pressure twice, early morning and before sleeping.

I tried a Diet once...

Couldn't do it... honestly, it did my head in...

Tried one of those bizarre little micro meal healthy eating jacket potato deals from Asda's...

It said, cook for 2.5 minutes... then agitate the potato then cook for a further 2.5 minutes...

I tried all my might to agitate it, it just wasn't biting... I called it every name under the sun till I was bored stupid... it didn't flinch once!

So I nuked a Rustlers burger instead... less hassle

:D

If this is happening to you, you should try and see an *actual* doctor, as this isn't normal.

Nope. You are flat wrong on this. The human body is (relatively) great at digesting meat, because we evolved to do so. Protases (pepsinogen, tripsin and chymotripsin): enzymes that break down protein throughout the human digestive system. Also Lipase for digesting those long-chain PUFAs we get from meat...

Hahahaha! Did you read "free radicals" on a pamphlet from your homeopath? Or hear "enzymes" on a shampoo advert or something? You have absolutely no idea how the human body functions, do you?

Because I don't eat meat, I don't become a bag full of stinky winds like you as a meat eater. You need to see your GP before it is too late.

This reminds me with an old BBC tv program called: 'refraf element'. :D:p:D:p

Not true at all, but diet *and* exercise is the ideal.

That's true, but if you really just want to lose weight (no matter if you're getting healthier, fitter or whatever), you only have to burn more calories than you consume. It's that simple.

If you know (or discover) your basic energy consumption, you have to eat slightly less and you will lose weight.

Let's take me as an example. I need 1950 calories a day to keep the balance. Currently, I am eating ~200 calories less each day and lose ~1 KG/month. Obviously, these numbers aren't cast in stone. If you're working out, you'll burn more calories, if you're getting more muscles, you'll burn more calories and if you stop moving and hanging out on the couch each day, you'll burn less.

However, if you count your calories and track your consumption, you will lose weight. It's math and math can't be wrong.
