Hi,

I started my own corporate workwear business 3yrs ago and it is going well, however my budget is very restricted due to being a relatively new company and I have done all the usual telesales marketing etc and launched my own website, but I am looking for more ideas on marketing my company to both small and large scale businesses. My customer base at present is very loyal due to the excellent service we provide and it is growing mainly from referral business. I have tried email marketing and target lists however these do not have solid results as people do not want another sales call or spam email can anyone help?

Thanks

Hi Daniel

I specialise in Corporate Work Wear that we either Embroidered or Print with company logo's on them. We do our own designing and manufacturing of all the logos directly onto the garments.

Hi Jo,

Have you checked out your competitors on Google in the UK. How are they on top of the search engine, look in to it. Secondly try to find out how many companies in and around your area will need your services. Find out what is going to come up in their organization in the near future and can they allocate a budget for corporate clothing. try talking to companies that have 50 employees and who is in charge of corporate promos and mostly it may be HR people or a separate dept for that. Get the guy if they have any requirements send them samples and satisfy them. It may work I can come up with lot of ideas for you let me know if this is something you have done already.

Thanks

Daniel

first ,employing the sales man to visit your potential clients directly ,that makes you more reliable.
second, attending some exhibitions related to your trade, you will get more contacts with your potential clients, and then get more chances to do your business!

All good tried and tested methods for expanding sales here, although employing salesmen and attending exhibitions can, and usually are expensive for any company. Jo has, for stated reasons, a veru limited budget. I'm sure Jo would invest in whatever is needed to expand sales, if the company had the funds.

I would suggest the production of an inexpensive (but as high a quality as possible) flyer/leaflet and a wander around a number of industrial estates, popping in and making initial enquiries, leaving leaflt, collect comp slips, follow up relevant companies with emails, letters, phone calls. (mix and match - find which works best).

Starrt local, go futher afield.

Best if luck.

Have you tried Google Adwords?

Most effective thing I've tried for my music business, and a lot cheaper than adverts, Yellow Pages or Yell.

Also, can contract / expand the area you cover, run different campaigns to test different products and even put the whole thing on hold if you have enough work at any given time.

May not work as well for you, but probaly worth at least a look?

Hi,

Have you considered outsourcing your sales?

For example: I have companies who hire me for a monthly retainer that starts from £250 per month. I then work on sales for them on a commission basis. This is much easier on the cashflow than employing a full-time sales person and I operate on a one month notice contract.

I aim to bring traditional mixed with outside the box thinking.

You are on my "patch" if it sounds like something that could be of use but I am sure there are many equivalents out there.

How often do you use samples?

Whatever you do I hope it works. Please feel free to contact me.

Regards,

Alex
