A friend and i have an idea for an I-phone app- will be mostly content based but integrating a timer and a random page generator based on a database of our content- does anyone here code I-phone appz or know where we could get someone to do this for us and have an approximate idea of charges?

Not really if you are going with DW all you will be able to do is create a web page which supports mobile content. If you want an app you need to write it in ObjectiveC on the mac for native iphone apps.

Adobe have just announced that the next version of Flash (CS5) will publish to a native iphone app as one of the output options. There's some limitations naturally bit for a lot of simple apps it'll likely be an easier way to go about it than learning objective C.

Yep I just read that too, interesting move as the iphone still wont support native flash, but with CS5 apps will be converted to native apps. Only issue I can see is for traditonal devs used to event driven programming using Flash with its scenes/transitions/timelines is a real pain to develop apps with, great for animations but I'm sure we'll still see some great stuff.
