htaccess file, where the hell do I find it in Magento?

Can anyone quickly tell me the path to the htaccess file in Magento?

You need to access it through an FTP program and it should be visible in the root of the domain.

Some FTP programs don't show .files as default so you may need to look round he settings

got it, yes it was hidden to my FTP programe!

I have a load of old URLs' that I want to map to new ones. I've tried adding the following line to the bottom of the htaccess file but it doesn't work.

Have I got the format wrong?

redirect 301 /mall/productpage.cfm/Mosey/_COR06A/216883/Mobel Oak Hidden Home Office by Baumhaus http://www.moseyonline.co.uk/furnit...e/mobel-oak/mobel-oak-hidden-home-office.html

the bit in bold being the new URL that I want the redirect to go to.

Any advice appreciated.
