HSDPA/3G mobile internet, any good?

I'm moving into an office, and need to decide whether to install a new BT line and broadband, or upgrade my mobile package to use it as a 3G/HSDPA modem.

Having looked at the costs and flexibility, my feeling is that the mobile route is actually going to be cheapest, but is is any good - anyone got any experience?

I realise it's not going to be the same as the fixed line broadband I am using at home, but is the connection reliable? how do you feel the speed compares?

Thanks
Peter

You have to be aware even 'Unlimited' Packages DO have a limit!

Yes, I saw the 'fair use' limits were pretty limiting when I was looking at the options.

I can add web'n'walk max, which has a unlimited (10gb/month) allowance to my contract for £15/month, but not sure if this would be workable as an alternative to fixed line broadband. It would certainly be more flexible as I may need to work in several different places.

Thanks Carl for you comment.

You can get a normal package with faster speeds cheaper than that, so I suppose it now comes down to weighing up how flexible you need your service to be.

If you can use your phone as a 3G modem, then there you have it.

Use your current Mobile limit when out and about and have a cheap fixed BB for the office. :)
