How to set up 2nd.Twitter A/C ?

Can anyone please tell me how to do this ? I know multiple user a/cs are allowed, but when I access Twitter it goes straight to my existing a/c.
I get options to delete it & set up another a/c instead, but can't find how to simply set up a 2nd. a/c.

You might try logging out of your first account and logging in to the second one.

Tweetdeck will allow you to log in with multiple accounts at once, but first it sounds like you need to clear your cookies or use a different browser.

I suppose logging out and logging in again with a different account should do. You can always use two different e-mail addresses for two accounts so there's no way in which Twitter will know it's the same person using two accounts.

You need to sign out of your existing account first, which you do in the top right hand corner (you will see it shows you logged in identity).

Do this and you get thrown back to the main Twitter home page, where you can then register for a second account. You'll need another email address to do this.

If running multiple accounts be sure to sign out each time you have finished, because it otherwise keeps your most recently signed in account active -- not only on the Twitter website, but any applications and websites that you signed into Twitter through (Hootsuite, blogs etc.). You could easly find yourself posting from the "wrong" account.

Or use Hootsuite (in a browser window) to manage multiple accounts. Downloading Teetdeck as a desktop client is another option. Google either to find their respective websites.

If you want to create another account - create another account with different email id.

If you want to open two accounts on your computer at the same time, open in two different browsers.

Hi thanks to all who replied, been a great help. Found easiest way was to log out & then log in with different email address & it works fine. Easiest way if you don't want to be hassled with multiple browsers. The problem before was that I wasn't logging out so Twitter brought me straight back into my existing a/c.

if this doesn't work, clear the history (everything) from your browser. Take note to jot down anything you might need though first....
