tax depends on your overall income, under employment it is deducted at source, which will be deducted from overall tax liability at tax return stage. Class2 NI contribution is £2.65 per week for 2012/13. Also Class4 NI contribution on your self employed income based on level of profits.

Depending on the level of earnings you are talking about it may be worth speaking to an accountant to get some advise on your specific situation based on the earnings levels.

Otherwise when you do your tax return you may want to consider getting one of the self-assessment tools such as Tax Calc as they make it much easier to complete yourself then trying to figure out HMRC's form alone.

Hi
Thanks for all advices and info.
I have couple of question.if you can answer i ll be so happy.
I am working 39 hours a week, paying NI and TAX.before i leave my current job i want to set up everything and register as self-employed.

How it will effect my NI and TAX?i believe i ll pay more but i think i ll earn about 3000 to 4000 max this year.so can i get tax back(income tax?
Do you think self-employed better than normal conpany?can i employ more people or change the business like LTD..etc?
Thanks reading and respond
