How to reduce importing risks from China

I have heard a lof of complains from buyers who imports from China, such as bad quality, delayed shipment even fraud, which costs them much.

We have to say there are many good suppliers here who have good credit and high quality goods, but also some bad suppliers, or cheaters who even are the golden memeber of Alibaba or global sources. How to find a reliable supplier and how to reduce the importing risks? Anyone who has good experience, would you like to share with us?

Hi Jolin,

I think it has actually become much easier to import from China.

In my experience the key is to get to know them first. In the process of asking the right questions about the product, terms of payment, where they have sold before you get a chance to look for inconsistencies. When you start getting mixed messages you know something is up.

And don't stress; there are lots of suppliers in China so if in doubt just go to the next one.

We were using one supplier and had a few small problems, nothing major. I then googled then and all sorts of postings came up where people had encountered much bigger problems so I stopped using them as it seemed to be only a matter of time.

Touch wood I have a really good relationship with the next supplier and not a single problem. Everything has been perfect in terms of communication, timing and the product.

I think when the small problems start, that's the time to get out.
