How to read financial info from company house statement

Hello dear members.

I wanted some help to correctly interpret some the financial data based on the report available through the Company House.

In particular I was not sure if the total Asset is to be considered the final profit made the financial year before taxes that a Ltd has generated during this trading period.

Thanks in advance.

You would only be able to determine the profit a company has made if they have filed full accounts including a profit and loss account.
If the company has filed abbreviated accounts you would be able to identify the movement in the profit and loss reserves but this movement comprises the company profit/loss for the year less taxes paid less dividends paid so you would still not be able to determine the profit before tax for the year.
The total Assets shown on the balance sheet is simply the total of the assets held by the company such as fixed assets, bank balances and other debtors.
