Being a small time sole trader - how does one prove their 'trading' status to wholesalers, cash and carry's etc?

We don't have a Business Bank Account (but are using a separate account to keep business and personal separate). We don't have any business cards, letter heads just yet.

Only thing we have is our status on ebay that shows we are a business seller.

Advices please

You can get business cards printed in m/way services and it'll take less than 10 mins to knock up some letterheads.

Thats all I did when trying to open trade accounts

Yep, getting yourself some stationery is the easiest way.

Have you registered with HMRC? Your first bill for class 2 NI could also be proof of self employment, but your business stationery is more relevant to suppliers.
