Hello,
I'm about to pitch my reseller proposition to the 6 suppliers I've identified. They all sell similar products (some also have their own online shops) and have varied pricing, terms etc as you would expect and they are all geographically located in the same region. The key differentiator is price and the corresponding quality of their products.
As I'm attempting to establish a 'one-stop shop' web site for their products, I'm going to go in with the offer of a level playing field for all of them. That is, no single supplier will have precedence - they simply have their products listed by supplier and the the purchasing decision is entirely down to the consumer.
Thing is, I'm worried that I will get a negative response to this if they see that their competitors are on there offering same or similar products cheaper than their own. How do I approach this with them? Also, can I set the selling price at what I like for each or set a blanket markup on each supplier's wholesale price accross the board?
I will of course stress that I am providing them an additional sales channel, marketing etc and that ulimately the site will aim to generate sales - for all.
Any thoughts would be very welcome.
