How to give notice of termination of employment?

    Are there any statutory requirements here?

    Or is it enough to send a simple email "Your last day of employment will be X" ?

    Contract says
    All notices ... will be given in writing and either served personally or sent by post or e-mail.
    The address for any notice to be delivered is as follows:
    1. To the Employer: ...
    2. To the Employee:
    By post to the address given above;
    By email to [email protected]

    Send notice n writing. Give the last date of employment. There are no statutory rules about what has to be said, only about how much notice must be given.
