how to find out about a german company

Hi Guys,
Im trying to find out about a competitor from Germany and wondered if anyone knew about there financial set up. Do they have a companies house. I have had a look but dont want to pay if I dont have to.

Have you tried CompanyCheck? I believe they also cover european companies.

Tried them, couldn't find anything tried directors, company reg number etc

Schufa do this for 28.50€ per search. The search is not much cop, pretty basic, but includes very basic credit worthiness check.
