I have a product designed by me here in the UK. It is manufactured in Asia. I ship the products to the UK by boat and when the shipments arrive we remove all the manufacturer paperwork and if shipping onto a European customer, just add our paperwork and off they go.
I am now getting significant enquires from the US for the products but i haven't got a clue where to start with exporting to the US.
I need to be able to ship direct from manufacturer to the customer in the US, but can't give away any details of who the manufacturer is or where they are coming from. The manufacturer is telling me they must include all their paperwork by law for shipping.
I have no one on the ground in the US or in Asia. I also don't have a clue about US tax !
Can anyone help me with the best way for me to be able to export to the US whilst also protecting myself and not revealing who the manufacturer is.
The opportunity is massive and i'd like to get it right from the start. Samples have already been sent to 4 significant distributors in New York, LA, Dallas and Minnesota !
Would really appreciate any help.
Thank you
