How to contact my local tax office

Hi

I'm trying to find the address details for my local tax office. I've used HMRC's website in past to do this using my postcode. Not sure if it as changed but is this facility still available ??

Hi

many thanks for the link - although it only shows my local tax office I need the regional office for PAYE coding purposes - anyone any ideas how I find this out ?? I have recently moved to a new address and would rather not spend an hour on the phone to HMRC to find the answer

I've been told its my local customer operations centre I need (Derby) anyone any ideas ???

Many of the local employer regions dont have direct dial numbers.

I suspect you'll have to call the employer helpline on 08457 143 143 - be prepared for a very long wait, unless you're extremly lucky!

If you don't have any old correspondence HMRC recommends writing to the following address

HM Revenue & Customs
Pay As You Earn
PO Box 1970
Liverpool
L75 1WX

Otherwise you could ask your employer who should be able to give you the reference or address for the PAYE office that they submit returns to.
