How to choose a good supplier?

There are too many suppliers that we can choose.
But how can we know who will be the best one to deal with?
Do you have any good idea for this?

The ones which offer the best all round service.

Some people go for the cheapest, and end up with communication difficulties and poor after sales support.

Others go for the more costly, but in return get a speedier service.

I personally like one which has a nice website, easy to get in contact with - price comes last, once I have found the products I like and built dialogue it is generally easy to knock them down on price.
