How to become a licensed customs broker in the UK?

Hi,

I've been exploring the possibility of opening a logistics business in the UK in partnership and need to know how can one become a licensed customs broker in the UK. Tried looking for info. on the net but without luck so far!

Exploring whether to run the business and be the custom broker as well or should I leave the brokerage / clearance bit to external individuals / company.

Also, does one need to train / qualify to be a licensed customs broker in the UK?

I don't really know much about becoming an agent in this field but, this is the best link I could find with a very quick google search.

My suggestion is to call them directly and ask your questions to get more information. (Have you done this already?)
