Have you considered outdoor advertising?
Have you considered pay per click (AdWords)?
Have you looked at networking?
Have you looked at approaching wedding planners, florists, venues and other related service providers?
Consider running a competition for a free wedding car service.
Look for wedding shows - there are loads of them.

I could go on ;)

Hope this helps.

My folks used to have a couple of white Alvis TA21 cars which they used
    for weddings at weekends.
Best way of advertising by far was setting them up with full ribbons
and parking them in town with a board in the window.

Coincidentally your cleaning business is on my list to review and approach offering SEO services :)

Have you looked at approaching wedding planners, florists, venues and other related service providers?

    This would be my choice...

If you're looking at SEO, there are some under utilised keywords in this niche. What cars do you hire out?

where would you suggest for outdoor advertising? we currently run an adwords campaign but it has cost a lot of money since december and not had a single booking from it.

i've contacted local companies asking to join with many saying sounds good but then nothing ever comes from it. you've remained me though to email them again and see if they want to take it further.

sounds like a good idea. will have a think about where it could be parked for ideas.
Are you listed on Yell.com? That's where we got our wedding car hire company details from.

    Clare

yell sounds good but is a lot of money to spend so early on. it's on the list of places to possible advertise once we get enough bookings.

if anyone is interested the site can be found by searching wedding wheels car hire in guildford, surrey. the site is blue and there is 3 cars :)

I like the idea of parking the car in the town centre. Have a huge board with images and information and someone to talk to people. Give them the 'hands on' approach and give them chance to ask questions about your service.

    why would I?

you get married - you buy a house (or at least she wants you to sell the old one)

    think laterally

ok fair enough, thought it was the most likely mistake as cleaning companies will more likely want to work with estate agents.

how would i do this for estate agents? i can't imagine where we'd come into it for them? e.g. whilst they're showing someone round a new house they say if you're getting married and need a car then try these guys?

bribe them to give out flyers, postcards, have a desk dispenser and back of the brochure ...... I kid you not.

    captive market.

Does the Jenson Interceptor get chosen much? I can't imagine a bride being pleased by that choice... but the groom undoubtedly would :D

some enquiries about the jensen but it's not really there as a wedding car, more for grooms car as mentioned on the site. it has been used as a wedding car though for those on a budget.
