How much would an IT company charge (outside london area) for unlimited IT support including callouts for a small business of 8 staff with basic needs. I currently charge per hour plus callout fee but they've asked for a set monthly price. While the set monthly price income would be welcome I know that they'll expect me to come out even for the tiniest problem and my callouts will probably double.
Is this advisable?

I know of a local guy to me who charges £9.99 a month per pc for remote support and then charges per hour on a call out.

The majority of his stuff is remote work so works for him

The only way to get a cost for them is to do the following:

a - how many callouts would you typically do in a month?
b - how long would a typical callout be?
c - what costs do you have to cover?

a x b + c = £

some months you may have more, some less so it's down to working out the average, if you do more than you expect then the next year put your prices up

That's the risk we take when we offer support agreements. Some months you won't get called then other months they will bombard you.

We adjust our prices on a client by client basis annually based on the volumes of work. We don't tie any of our customers into contracts just month by month.

We charge £20.00 Per PC/Laptop and £100.00 Per Server per month.

So a typical 5 user network with a server would be £200.00 PM

This includes 247 server monitoring, and unlimited support within business hours. 08:30: 17:30
