How much time does the average person spend in their home?

Trying to put some text together for my website and want to add some statistics.

Does anybody know, how much of our free time does the average person in the UK spend in their homes? Free tim being defined as the hours in the day less the hours at work.

I read that in america its 45% (not much help mind since I am looking for UK stats) - but that still seems rather low tbh - or is it just me that seems to spend about 99.99% of my time in my home?!?!

I think that figure sounds about right - If you worked 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and spent the rest of your time at home that would be around 24% time at work and therefore 76% at home. So take away travelling time and social activities, 45% sounds a good average, remember we are meant to sleep for 8 hours a night. I would guess that this is effected by weather variation, the hotter the more time we go out.
