How much money should I account for to set up a limited company?

I'm interested in setting up a private limited company. I've got a basic idea of the requirements but I'm going to need to get an accountant to help with finances and a solicitor to make a privacy policy and terms of service document.

I can register for the limited company myself on Companies House but I was wondering how much I should budget for getting the limited company off the ground?

I'm building an auction style website in a specific niche.

There are quite a few members on here that could help with your book-keeping and accounts...

Thanks. They were some interesting links. Sorry, I can't quote your full message as I need 30 posts to post links.

Between 30 grand and a hundred million.

Depending whether you are building the site yourself or getting someone else to do it. Plus marketing to sellers and buyers.

I'm building the website myself. It isn't a general auction site like eBay so I won't be competing with them.

I was mainly just curious about the accounting and solicitor fees. I can handle everything else myself.

Still got to get noticed by buyers and sellers.

Without buyers you will have trouble getting sellers to use the site. Without sellers you won't have stuff to cause buyers to purchase.

Of course. I have a plan for that and the money to pay for those things in separately budgeted for.

Only time will tell if my plan is going to be successful.
