How much do u spent on printer ink?

Do you notice that printer ink is one of the most expensive things in the world in terms when you break down how much it costs per milliliter?

I think it's the cartridges that cost the money more than the ink itself hence the large number of companies that refill them. But I agree - I got 12ml for £31 yesterday!

People don't pay £70 per cartridge (average £20), they can get them refilled for about £10 here in the UK.

This is the price of an OEM printer cartridge in 2004. Although the cost of an OEM cartridge is much cheaper than that of 2004, the price of OEM printer ink, as someone calculated , is $5,200 a gal! More expensive than the gas!

Yep.... which is why I supply schools with CIS equipped printers and started producing my own.

Cost per page of A4 full colour now down to less than 3p per sheet

... but just to indicate how bad it is... HP posted their profits and it was shown that over 80% of their operating profit comes from printer consumables... which is why there's so many companies selling 3rd party kits, inks, cartridges, etc...

t'is utterly crazy...
