How much are you paying - container shipping china

I thought it might be useful for us all to see what we are all paying to import containers from China.

For ref I am paying Fob ningbo 40ft HC
£2000

which seems like a lot to me.

Anybody care to make me jealous?

My last 40ft HQ in November was £2250 FOB Tianjin including all costs delivered to my door (apart from duty and VAT)
I’m expecting the bill for my latest HQ this week. It does vary a bit depending on time of year and exchange rates.

We are paying about £1400 for 20’ containers at the moment from Ningbo to Felixstowe.

Anyone else having constant delays with there containers? According to our freight forwarder the shipping lines are in a mess at the moment - not sure if that is true or not?

It isn't just containers, taking me 2 weeks to get a pickup in China right now for pallets by sea.

Just shipped 40 HQ @ £1880 Quay to Quay (33 days TT) for a regular client importer. Rate valid until 31st Jan 2019. Your rate of £2000 appears competitive for an occasional shipper. The larger the volumes you ship the better the deal from the Agent/Line. Please be aware that Lines release their rates on a monthly basis and are closely linked to market forces.

Is this price including port handling and admin fees?
What would be a typical bill for FOB delivery from factory to my door (roughly) including everything except duty and vat ?

@adamuk18 does the £2k include all port admin and handling fees, as well as delivery to your door ?

We generally find we are able to get better rates for whole containers from China rather than UK. Typical rates we have been getting for 40ft hq is £1700 huangpu to FXT and £1800 qingdao to FXT. As other commentators have said prices do vary and are seasonal. My advice if you want the best rates place your SO in China.
