You get an extra seven days for filing on line, even though it's now compulsory - and you have to pay on time as well.

The form, or notice to make a return, will tell you - if you read it! :)

I haven't had a notice? It just says on my VAT certificate that i got a few months ago when i registered that the return is up to September 30th. Nothing about how long you get. But sorted now so thanks .

They don't issue paper forms any more (apart from a few cases who are still allowed and want to submit on paper) but they do issue notices by email. All of our September quarterly returns received the email on 23 September.

The notice doesn't actually specify the due date but does include this link to the HMRC site about deadlines

If you log in to online filing, you'll see the due date there as well
