How Healthy Are You?

compuclean

Okay people, I'm gonna try and get fit.

So, I am drinking one glass of water every hour, from 8am, in order to have my recommended 8 glasses of water a day.

Also, I am going to eat more fruit, less chocolate. Well, more fruit anyway...

Anyone else going to join me?

I cycle to work everyday, which makes it 15 miles a day. I had a race with some guy today, which resulted in me getting to work and being somewhat tired. The sod went onto the pavement, past the traffic and beat me after I overtook him coming downhill (which isn't that easy when your bike weighs so little. Best to beat them on the climb).

I would have joined you last week compuclean! This week I'm back on to my Montana Bars and Greggs pasties!!

I have started building drinking water into my daily routine and drink at least 3-4 pints a day. Usually mixed with Robinsons!

Then I made sure I had cereal everyday and still do, so the next step is to introduce fruit (whatever that is) and stop eaitng at McDonalds on Friday lunch time.

I think the best way is to build it slowly, working your way up from 1 fruit a day to 2 and the three.

Are you going to include excercise into your routine? We have a cross trainer that I keep meaning to get on but cycling 15 miles a day? I leave that to Tom!

I don't know how healthy I am.

I train with Football three times a week, plus try to get an hour in on my days off in the home gym (small trampoline, exercise bike and weights).

My main problem is the junk food that I am quite fond of, Pizza's/pie's/chip's are pretty much a part of my week.

I used to take my son out for McD's once a week but have cut that right back.. I went there for the first time for a few months this week. I swear the grease almost killed me. ;)

I don't really keep much of a check on what I eat, so my diet is probably akin to many other people's (i.e. a fair amount of fruit & veg, with plenty of pizza, curry, chips, chocolate and crisps thrown in). I find that as long as I keep active with my climbing and running, I can eat pretty much what I want.

The only fast food that I don't eat if at all possible is McDonalds - it's bloody awful, and for some reason, I always feel worse after eating it that I do before.

Subway is awesome though.
