How do you start up with integrated systems?

I'm launching my new business in 2019.

What recommendations do people have about integrating IT systems?

The systems that are already set up are:
  • Finance (Xero)
  • CRM (OpenCRM)
  • Website (Wordpress)
  • G Suite (Google Apps)
The website can push information to the CRM through jotforms. The CRM can push information to Xero. Google talks to CRM too - emails are integrated.

Specifically - I need a booking system on my website. I can use an app designed for wordpress - there is a good range of good solutions, but I want that booking information to push through to CRM and Xero as well. I'll have groups of people booking timed slots at events.

So I could do with some advice about the Booking system, but I could also do with knowing where to access systems support and advice more generally. There are likely to be other systems that I'll need to integrate too.

Thanks in advance.

Hi
What sort of booking system are you looking for?
I was recently looking for SAAS event type booking systems myself but didn't end up going through with the project. I think there are more than enough options out there so it really comes down to your list of requirements - both front and back end.
Two that I liked the look of are planyo and bookingbug

Personally when looking at SAAS solutions I don't look at solutions don't allow API access because you don't want to be trapped in a silo - feature or datawise. Then its often a small(ish) project to integrate your current tools via the API or my prefered way is to use Zapier or similar as they have often done the work already, can support you somewhat on the data transfer bits and give you flexiblity to use the best tools for specific functions e.g. all emails sent through gmail etc.

I would recommend against trying to integrate these services. From the names in the "already in use" list, it appears that the budget is restricted. Save your money and do some manual work for now, and later on buy a custom solution which will contain all that you want, possibly then integrating one or two of these services. You can go about this in steps, too.

If you try to integrate all of these and/or others you will quickly find out that the cost of just keeping them working is going to be much more than rolling your own.
