How do you gain eBay views?

I'm not after some quick fix, nor a golden secret, more so I am after general rules which the layman may not know.

For instance, my last product was an ebook for £5, which was fairly decent. It sold 2 copies, but only received 50 views in the month it was up, which I think is pretty poor.

Anyone got any general tips to up your views, or 'valuable views' at least? Thanks.

Good deacription/keywords, a decent picture and a proper description. Beyond that, it's the paid for services like highlight & bold or featured listings, whatever they're called these days.

Maybe look into affiliates to sell on you behalf. Would you rather sell two a month for £5 each or 100 a month for £5 each but give the affiliates half of it?

Sorry, what do you mean by affiliates? As in selling my product to webstores etc? Because I doubt my product is that 'official' or in demand. Thanks anyway, I may work on keywords etc.

Keywords, good listing title, gallery picture - ALL important BUT if you're going for a highly competitive keyword, you really should get TRS (Top Rated Seller) status as that's the most important element in Best Match algorithm, straight after selling history.

Standard conversion rate there me old mucker.

1%.

Just as a side thought, £5 for an ebook could be expensive....what is the niche?
