How do you catch new customers?

Hi,

It is very difficult for a new business to get customers because they are not too much reputed and not have any feedback. They also compete with old business and hungry to get new customers so what strategy is to be implemented to get customers to run a new business.

Is there any way to become magnet in any niche?

Understand what is most important to your target audience (price, quality, service, simplicity etc.) and aim to provide it.

Seek out the locations online and offline where your target demographic is most likely to be and do specific marketing.

There are many tools to use for marketing your business, PPC works the best for me, SEO, advertising, content marketing, and most of all social media marketing! Social media marketing is the easiest platform to reach out in audience and gain new customers. Though all these marketing techniques definitely require time, effort, dedication and patience. Because you need to engage with people , build connection for them to trust your brand and try it. Of course, your product/services must be able to satisfy them for them to become loyal to you. Once you've acquired new customers, take care of them. For your old customers will be your ultimate tool in acquiring new ones.

It always depends what niche you fall into.
you need to target the demographic and the outline them.
SEO and social media marketing in my experience is the best way to establish a new business and gain brand recognition.
I do agree with mixtureofmarket PPC does work well but you can end up wasting a lot of your budget targeting useless areas and using useless keywords.
It would also be a good idea to do a promotional or explainer video depending on what your product is.

Sounds as though your business might be operating in a competitive market sector. In these circumstances it is important to consider well your competition and develop an understanding of where your products/services stand out to help solidify your sales message. Furthermore, you need to identify clearly where your demographic are showing buying interest so you may take advantage of this targeted traffic for potential consideration with a purchasing decision.

More attention to detail here will help with ensuring a better return on investment. It's a good starting point, but without knowing the sector and more about your brand it's difficult to provide further insight here.

It is true that for a new business you will be having a hard time to get new customers and outranking those old in the industry is really tough. The best thing to do is to study your potential clients behavior and trends for you to provide what their needs and expectations that will be greater than your competitors. The most important thing is to reach them no matter what platforms you will use then deliver an engaging content that will guide and benefit them.

How is a Youtube video, amongst the millions out there, going to get any attention? Especially if it's just a plug for a website.

Youtube is a medium. You can put stuff up there. If it's a popular niche and if it's keyworded right, you might get a few hits. But spending money on an animation?

Making videos is not cheap. At all. Even a guy with his own camera and editing software can take ages making something watchable.

You'd be better off browsing Fiverr to get an idea of what's do-able then coming up with your own spin. A slick video can make you look more pro but I don't see putting a promo on Youtube as bring any enquiries unless it's _very_ targetted and localised.

Now, a video showing Joe Plumber explaining what he does, hosted on his own site, could be useful to encourage people to call. If Joe is presentable.

Whatever the strategy you'll choose it should be a repetitive one.

Best results should deliver PPC, but here you should setup the campaign carefully, otherwise you'll pay for it and outcome will be 0. Cold calling may be another alternative.

For niche businesses will work the forums.

From my experience, I can not say there is one particularly that deliver best results.

The best one will be your clients that can bring to you new ones.

Regarding this issues to get more customers, If anyone has experience on Facebook marketing? I need some good ideas about it.

Facebook can be extremely unhelpful unless you are prepared to pay to share posts. Know when to post (initially 9am,1pm,5pm and 7pm, then study your fb analytics).

Part of my business is Social Listening. We have three levels, the top being to actively engage with social media users in regards to your product.

If You'd like to know more about the Contact center, feel free to message me, if not I hope the above advice helps. Good Luck!

First, try running quick and easy-to-organize acquisition tests to gauge customer reaction.
    • Buy $500-10000 worth of AdWords and see if they'll drive potential customers to your site. Monitor performance, measure how people convert. Then pick up the best-performing keywords and drop the ineffective ones.
    • Use Facebook messages or Tweets to measurable audiences. Try to invite not less than 1,000 people to explore your website. If there's no response, check how user-friendly and responsive your website is.
    • Find traffic partners, which are typically contractual relationships with other companies that provide predictable streams of customers or users to your company while you provide either customers or fees to the partner.

Definately depends on the nature of the business, but as I think already mentioned above, targeted marketing is always most effective. If your business is online PPC is a very useful tool for advertising on a budget providing it is used effectively. Again, I think it might be mentioned above but do some research on where you would find your target audience online and advertise there!

    Best of luck

Hi, it would be wise to define your target audience. Think about who your customers might be. Then figure out where they hang out.
Online, networking Etc. It's not so much of a how to catch at this point in time, it's more of where can I find them. Figure that one before you get your fishing rod out.

    Cheers.

with Adwords we found them a waste of money and time. In our case as we are not auto locksmiths google kept throwing (and charging) us into that keyword category. As a result we did get a lot traffic to our website but most of it bounced on the landing page as our information and services were irrelevant.

That's not because adwords doesn't work, it's because you didn't use it properly or base it's use on a decent marketing plan.

    Hi Arjan
What is your business? Are you selling a product or a service? Is it aiming for international, national or local customers?

Every business is different. Every business owner has individual strengths and weakneses.

For example, I have a niche product which I sell UK wide from my web site. I focus on what I am good at, I keep my web site as relevant, simple and clear as possible. I don't use any social media, I don't do any advertising. My marketing extends to clearly branded company communications and clearly branded products.

What I try to do is give very good customer service, follow up every enquiry, and above all make sure customers are happy with the product and service they have received. This includes fast resolution to any problem which does arise. Basically I focus on what I'm good at, and the business prospers as a result.

Not if you hang out where potential customers are gathered:)

Peeps go to a football match for a reason or go to a travel agent for a reason

Decide who you want for a customer, find where the majority of them go to find answers to their questions and a new customer can be gained quicker than you think!

Analyze your competition, its strengths and weaknesses. Take their best business strategies and use them. Very helpful is blue ocean strategy. This strategy is particularly useful when you are just starting a business. Take care also about good customer service is often overlooked aspect of the business, so you can stand out from the competition. With these steps you should find many new customers.
