I have just stumbled across a competitiors website and discovered they have hidden text, and the hidden text has all their competitiors names in it!, including mine very naughty!
How do I report them to search engines etc

Honest answer? Get over it and put your energy into growing your business. I've yet to meet someone who has become successful by spending time and effort reporting their competitors' bad behaviour. There are far better ways to spend your time and energy.

Yes, I'm with Sysops on this. Concentrate on doing what you do to an exceptional level, be the best and if you're not, improve and aspire. I am a great believer in what goes round comes round. The also-rans always fall away in the end. Look forward and be aware of your competition but don't waste time looking sideways.

Reflecting what has already been said, spend your time and effort growing your customer base, reviewing your product offering and improving your service levels.

Let the competitors get on with whatever it is they are doing.

Hi Mark, just on a separate note, just looked at your sight in IE browser and you have PLAVEB-internet business image with dropdown script, tiled all over the page, checked in firefox/safari and okay in that unless its just my particular IE browser.... which will not surprise me

I didn't need to report them in the end, hidden text now removed as I contacted them. Normally I do ignore and concentrate on my own business but sometimes it is annoying when someone is so blatant , I only found their site by complete accident whilst searching for something so its not as if I had been snooping, in fact I wasn't even aware of them ! To be honest I don't have time to look at competitors websites at all, but at the same time if I do come across someone trying to gain customers by using my name to gain visitors form search engines I am not going to ignore it either.

Did you know I could run adwords and target the keyword [Blush Fashions], and there would be nothing you could do about it?

I wouldnt worry as using hidden text or text in very small letters is often found by google & penalized in the rankings

Ive had so many mcnuggets tell me to do this sort of thing to increase SEO its daft.
