How do I preview a tweet before it is posted?

Is there a way that I can preview a Twitter post as it would appear once posted?

I don't believe there is. Why do you need to preview a tweet though? It's so short.

If you use the smartphone app you will more or less see the tweet how it will appear once posted, especially when you're adding images to the tweet. This is the case with the iOS app, haven't tried it on Android.
