I know what you mean that is very annoying. In this case the only thing you can do is look for a different website that sells the same software (providing there is one).

Watch out though because many anti-fraud systems will automatically block orders coming from poxys.

From what I remember the website www.hidemyass.com is in America so that should do the trick, altenatively you could use a VPN such as this http://globalip.info/en/index.php for next to nothing.

They may default to the UK price based on your ip location, but if you're paying by PayPal, you can usually change this to the US price if you give a US address. The address, of course, would never be used as the goods are not shipped and PayPal do not require that any address details you provide to the supplier match your PayPal address.

Not all of the time as they just go via IP which is the proxys.

I notice that Adobe have got clever about this and have one European price, it is shocking how we pay more for the same stuff. I thought if a poorer EU country had it cheaper you could get it at there/their? price and then write to the customer services and say "single market" "I am entitled" "you can charge two diffrent prices in the same market" as iTunes did that for a stage now they reduced the price in the uk.

As has already been stated, nearly every fraud detection system will 'red flag' you for using a proxy. Also, depending on the software terms, you'll likely be breaking the EULA by providing a fraudulent details.

I wouldn't recommend this.

How much extra is the UK price?

It could be that the UK price includes VAT, if you are trying to pay the US price then you will be defrauding the VATman!

I'd imagine It varries from product to product, but once I went to buy a software Item based on the dollar price of $199 it redirected me to the uk store and the price was £199 needless to say I did not make a purchase. I doubt American VAT is 100%
