Update: I started selling at market I;ve been 2 weeks now and made about £35 each time. My eBay has more sales and I started adding a link to the website in eBay parcels with discount codes as well and got 3 big orders doing that. 1 order was £54 and the other 2 were £34.

For doing a online marketting business a strategy is needed, If you dont know what you are doing You cannot do it in the right way You should start by selling local things and when you have a high marketting budget then you should make an impact there

I would suggest instagram and showing off your sweets and getting in touch with people you know doing events, weddings or whatever and using word of mouth to help get you off your feet.

Use your network first and then it'll branch out as you do a good job alongside an increased online presence.

Very good way to generate interest and get people buying your sweets. Face to face interaction in the early days in this kind of sector is key. Get yourself out there and sell, sell, sell. Alex
I agree you need to build a community that raves about your products - they will be the hub of the viral expansion. Are you selling to family and friends? If not why not? If they don't buy why should anyone else?

Give things away for a review - get a clear idea of what works and what doesn't. Try some local shops that sell craft or homemade products - even if these are sold at a breakeven.

Does you label include your website? Does it invite comments? Could you offer a weekly/monthly prize/giveaway?

I looked and he has a little eBay business to develop, not a website. There is biz on this for eBay and that's a good start for a kid. Seriously if he sorts his images and content out he's looking at selling a few hundred bags at Xmas at the very least. I'd like to see it happen for the youngster.

Yes and it is great to support to entrepreneurs, but Nathan's freely admitted he knows nothing about compliance, storage or anything remotely legal.

Yes it is good for people to do these things, right until someone has a reaction and falls ill.

Nathan, not saying that it's a bad idea, but do things properly. Yes it is expensive but that's why people struggle to open until their older.

Get proper equipment/facilities, qualifications and make sure you know what needs to be disclosed. - at least prepare, store and label correctly.
Before selling to the public.
