How can I see if my Virgin internet was down?

N

Nomis Connections

Your router logs may be able to tell you something - if not you may want to call Virgin, who'll hopefully be able to tell you if there were any drops on your line, or service work/errors going on in your area this morning.

I've just realised, it says there are problems with the TV catchup service and it shows there was a problem this morning and another problem which is currently being repaired. I guess it would be that same for the internet too if there was a problem. It says it's fine though. I think it's something my end that caused it

Nationwide...from VM

There is a fault disruption.
You might not be able to watch certain programmes on Catch Up TV and TV On Demand on your Virgin TV or TiVo® service at the moment.

If you're lucky Fred then some inept engineer has not come along (as they did with us) and unplug your cable at the green junction box because they were having a cabinet tidy up!

Believe it or not, that happens fairly frequently when they do a cabinet clean up, and any cables that are not marked up can be pulled out, or if an engineer does a new install and needs to find a slot somewhere on the panel, they can pull your cable just to save themselves some trouble.

I'm not sure if you can actually go back in time to verify a fault your end or theirs, but ring 150 and have a moan - they should offer you some credit for loss of service ;)
