Household data for leafletting

Hi, I'm looking to do some leafletting in my local area but need to know demographics and Nos of houses in specific areas, preferably by street. I will need to target certain areas and demographics with certain types of leaflets. I will be split testing etc but rather than blanket leafletting and spending time on analysing results I would rather plan my campaign with the best hope of getting leads rather than wasting time and money on market testing. This info MUST be available by the Census, Royal Mail, OS Maps etc, but is there a single source for this kind of info?

I would appreciate any free (and paid for) data sources or urls

Hi Terry

There used to be a program by Microsoft called MapPoint. Not sure if it is still out there, however, IIRC, that used to allow drill down and look at the demographics of a town/area or postcode sector using information from one of the big UK lifestyle data sources. Might be worth checking to see if it is still available.

Other than that I haven't explored any other sources.

If I need demographics I tend to look at volumes of data within a target postcode area/district or sector that meet necessary criteria (council tax band, income band, age band, lifestyle attributes etc) and then select the data for output accordingly. If you needed some counts to your target market I could provide those to you at no cost.
