Me and my business partner are going to be spending the weekend redesigning our homepage and other parts of the site

But we want other peoples views

FlatMateRooms is a flatshare website where users can place room to rent and room wanted adverts

Could you have a look at the homepage and see what you think and whats missing or what you would do different

www.flatmaterooms.co.uk

Thanks for your time

Your website as it stands is good and idiot proof . Nice and clean without too much information thrown at the user. The text size and banners are clear and the website has been broken down into good relevant sections.

I like the hints too, gives the user a bit more confidence.

I think the website is lacking a little bit of imagery and a little more colour, good powerful imagery can really draw the user in but don't use too much otherwise it ends up being cluttered.

A site navigation bar at the side or along the top could help.

I think your site is good with some superficial changes could help but like gemd89 said why not try getting more visitors?
