Hello,
This is just an idea at the moment, I am in the very early stages of planning and researching to ensure its viable and there is a market for it. I already own a business that is doing well and is quite low maintenance.
The idea would be baby food delivery, ranging from babies first solids (very smooth puree's) all the way up to the lumpy toddler foods. Parent's will be able to choose from a variety of different flavours and textures to suit their child's taste buds and development. There will be one delivery day per week, parent's have the choice to order a weeks worth of food or a months worth. Food will be cooked from fresh then quick frozen on the morning of the delivery day to ensure taste is preserved. It will then be delivered for free with in my local area.
I would work on getting next day delivery by a postal method to other area's in the country, but would need time to research the best delivery methods to ensure the food is kept frozen.
Does anyone know the first steps to starting up a business such as this?

I think that you have a business idea that can be successful. Below are some things that you should consider.

1. Make sure that the delivery area has many families and a good economy, so you can get the sales you want. If you do well, you can then expand your baby food delivery to more cities.

2. Find a food supplier or restaurant that will prepare the food. Because you're not personally preparing or handling the food you don't need a food handler's license, which is convenient for you. The food supplier or restaurant should have the required licensing.

3. Find a deliverer that will deliver the food promptly. Often, the food supplier or restaurant can arrange delivery at an extra cost.

3. Create a platform which makes it easy for parents to order baby food. You will need a good website and app for this.

4. Market your service. There are various methods that you can use. You could for example distribute flyers, advertise on Social Media etc.

If you have further questions, feel free to ask.
