Ho do I buy a domain name - status is redemptionperiod??

Can anybody help with this?

I'm after a domain name which expired a few weeks ago. Godaddy says it's registry status is redemption period.

Can I buy this domain? If so - how??

You need to wait a bit longer. There's the expiry, then redemption period, which I think is 60-90 days. Only then is it dropped from ICANN and can be registered by anyone.
