HMRC Mobile App and QR Code Problem

Hi,

I'm currently abroad and cannot receive any sms messages to my mobile phone as roaming is not supported where I am, so have I been using the HMRC app on my tablet for generating the access codes to administer my limited company on HMRC's website.

Unfortunately the tablet just died on me so I have added the HMRC app to both my mobile phones. The app is now asking to scan the QR code from HMRC's website but for the life of me I can't find a way to make it provide a new QR code. I can change passwords, emails, everything else but nothing for generating a QR code for the mobile app to scan. The site just keeps asking for the access codes, no link for a new QR code, no way to change the mobile number that receives sms messages. I normally use the app, not the sms anyway.

Does anybody know how to generate a new QR code to link my accounts to the app?

Maybe an alternative would be the new GOV Verify... I can't explain as well as the official website and video so hopefully I won't be banned for posting a LINK
Thank you James, that actually helps with my personal tax and self assessment which I have also lost access too. Each time I had clicked a link for Gov Verify before the resulting page just barked on about 2FA but that one actually helps.

Unfortunately it can't be used for Limited Company accounts. I still haven't received a response from HMRC after three days and two requests for help, and yesterday I had tried to call them and ended up with $90 of phone bill for being in the queue :(

Thanks again, I can get my self assessment sorted at least.

Maybe you need to login to HMRC via laptop and within your account pages there will be a QR generator?
I finally got to a location where I could make proper phone calls and after a chat with HMRC it seems you actually can't generate the QR codes online after the first time you've done it. It takes a call to HMRC to reset the online access methods on your account, then when you try to log in again it will generate a new QR code when you click 'App Access Codes' as one of the methods.
