what colour?

It really depends what car you are putting them on, as they are actually illegal, Xenons are the legal option and as standard have auto height adjust and washer jets as standard.

Most new cars tend to come with auto height/washers as standard now so HID's are harder to tell if they are HID's or Xenons.

If its an old car with a conventional glass with the ridges in then i would suggest not getting them as the light gets sent all over the place and blinds on coming traffic

I had 6k bulbs which gave of a very fine hint of blue, they higher you go the white the light becomes.

hope this helps.

I bought my set from ukautolighting who gave me some very helpful advice.

Mardell : HIDs work by igniting Xenon gas inside the bulb - Bulbs which claim to be "Xenon" but are not part of a HID kit are only tinted Halogens!

You can only fit HID lighting kits to headlamp units which have been designed for them. The majority of projector headlamps cater for HID kits and you will have no problem getting them through an MOT. As Mardell pointed out, if you have reflector headlights the beam pattern may get scattered and dazzle other road users.
