Joined UKBF this week and already finding it an invaluable tool.

I am te proprietor of a New wedding and Event planning company in Cheshire.

Started by accident and already showing great signs for success.

I got married in June and the wedding venue staff were so impressed with my wedding that they said I should go into business. At the begining of August I mentioned this to an aqaintance and she told a friend and i had my 1st customer.

I contacted a local venue to see if they would recomend my services.

I am now one of two companies quoting for their complete christmas season venue dressing for their 2 venues for 14 days and 640 seats.

I already have 4 weddings booked for next year.
My wedding venue has put my services in their wedding packs.

So thats about all there is to say other than its been great joining UKBF its full of friendly and helpful people. I know Im going to be a long term member

Welcome to UKBF, i'm new myself.

I seriously considered wedding planning when i was thinking up ideas but dismissed it. How many other wedding planners are operating in the area you are? Do you have a website? A name for yourself? And everything else that goes with it? It would be great to know.

You say you got your first customer through an acquaintance, well done. It seems this has a good potential for you, are you now doing this full-time or in your spare time?

That's great news. A good early start.

I would seriously consider getting a name to operate under (even if it's your own), a website, a facebook page and some business cards if you haven't already.

Do you produce your own wedding stationery? I have had some good contacts from wedding planners like yourself, who wanted to outsource the production of bespoke printed stationery.
