Hi Guys - Web Designer / Developer from London here

Hi guys,

My name is Rob Fenech and I am a 27yr old freelance web designer and developer based in East London.

I saw this forum and thought it would be a good idea for me to branch out and start to do a few things:

1. Get more clients :p
2. Help small businesses with web advice/seo etc... when possible
3. Share my experience and expertise with people and help to stop companies getting ripped off by a lot of the RUBBISH web designers out there!

I am an active member of a few web design forums, so I do actively participate in all kinds of conversations, I am not just here touting for business (although I would be lying if it wasn't an underlying desire :p)

I hope to get to know some of you and hopefully, work with a few of you over the next year or so.

Anyway... I am waffling on... time to go and explore the forum!

Hi and Bye!

Rob

Hi RobCCTV

Thanks for the welcome.

I do have one online portfolio - but I am in the process of adding a more mainstream one as this particular portfolio is quite niche:

www [dot] pigeondesigner [dot] co [dot] uk - web design and advertising for racing pigeons

I have only recently been freelancing properly, I have been on contract jobs as a web designer for the past 6 years.

I was an in-house designer and part of the team that built:

www [dot] chelseafc [dot] com (as well as Bridge Kids and The Shed sites)

And as a contractor I have designed and developed (all my own work):

luminescence [dot] co [dot] uk
intelliconnect [dot] co [dot] uk
batribike [dot] com
diamondbiopharm [dot] com
ectdpublishing [dot] com
discovertouring [dot] co [dot] uk
eliteoffsetprinters [dot] co [dot] uk

I am currently contracted with Anthony Nolan (leaukemia charity) to overhaul their website and intranet.

I consider myself an expert in information architecture, user interface design, xhtml/css and all things 'front end'

I do have a fair bit of back-end experience too... I usually utilise frameworks and CMS systems to avoid re-inventing the wheel.

That is kinda me really :)

p.s. sorry about the [dot] thing... I can't post URLs up yet! :)
