Help with VAT change of address form - VAT484

I'm currently dealing with a couple of VAT registration issues. Firstly my accountant registered for VAT with my old address, despite me updating my details with them when I moved. Secondly, they sent HMRC a change of address, VAT484 form however after weeks waiting I contacted HMRC and they highlighted the following issues with the form submission:

1) The form wasn't signed by a director (me) - easy one to fix.
2) the accountants only listed part of the VRS number 'VRS099' leaving off the full number.

I'm now completing the form myself to save time and avoid any further issues and noticed that the VAT484 form does not have a space for the VRS number, only the VAT registration number which I do not have. So my questions on this are:

- Does anyone know where I add the VRS number on the form as it is required?
- Do I only need to complete the address section, do I leave the other sections blank (Company name, contact numbers, email / website, bank account and VAT return date)?

Thanks all!

Register for HMRC Gateway ID then in the add taxes section add VAT.

Once added you will be able to change the business details online.

Changing your details

You can now use your VAT online account to change these details:
  • business contact details
  • bank details
  • return dates
To do this:
  1. Log into your business tax account.
  2. Select ‘Your VAT account’ then ‘Manage your VAT’.
  3. Then select ‘Your business details’ and you will see an option to edit each field.

Thanks for the response. Following this it asks for a VAT number, which I don't have yet. When I select that I don't have a VAT number it goes through the VAT registration process, which my accountant has already done.
