Hi All

We are startup product company doing a small exhibition show (trade + public) in a few weeks where we have a booth (size 2.5m x 3.5m). We have a modest budget but want someone who can help us come up with a simple but engaging design.

Show is in 6 weeks so need to get moving on this.

Recommendations welcomed?

Thanks

Henrik

Define "modest" and when you say " come up with a simple but modest design" do you mean you want a design only or design and production of a finished item?

Hi Henry

This is exactly what I do ie provide low cost high value trade stands, £1000 is a bit low but I can definitely do you something really decent for £1500 if this helps?

To cut costs, I outsourced the design to someone on Fiverr. JSHamsi is his moniker on there. I then went to the cheapest stand creator I could find and they made me a popup for £520 plus a branded podium thingy all in including VAT. This is a podium and a 3*3 popup from XL Displays. The art on the branded podium was something they made (I just sent them a pic of my brand).

As it is a popup, I can reuse it because sometimes the fittings / fixtures thingy can be problematic as different exhibitions occasionally have different setups.

Then, because I'm in corporate video production, one wall of the stand will be set up as a greenscreen film studio complete with cameras and lights plus I am bringing a TV to play a looped video on. The TV is my personal item and I bought a super tall stand on Ebay for £27. So my entire budget for a 3*3 is under £600 and I hope it can go toe-to-toe with everyone else. One of customers is there and they are literally spending £20,000 on bigger stuff.

I had a little bit more in the budget so I bought a last-minute speaker slot at half price. This allows me to stand in front of 50 - 60 potential customers and pitch them. If I land one, customer, the show will pay for itself and may even make me a profit if the customer is good enough.

From my experience have enough room for two sets of tables of samples, cards, brochures etc. Also have a minimum of 2 people on the stand at all times.

Do not drink anything for breakfast, do not pee all day. NEVER have food or drink on the stand. Never leave or start packing up before the end. If you get time wasters get rid of them quickly. A genuine customer might walk past.
